God grant me...

Prayer of Becoming

May clarity grow within Me
Open my eyes to life's many Wonders
May I feel the pulse of all creation within Me
Open my spirit to Awareness
Fill my heart with Understanding
May my life be of service to Earth and the Goddess
Open my ears to the needs of those around Me
Make my hands strong & gentle in Your Service
May I remember always, the Goddess works through Me

~Whenever I'm caught up in the day-to-day anxieties and responsibilities of life and I'm feeling overwhelmed and unable to "see the big picture", this little prayer seems to bring it into perspective and better help me to get through the day with the strength and courage befitting a Goddess (as we all know that is precisely what I am, no?)

Nos Ami, Les Sweeney

I have not received copies of the much coveted New Years Photos yet so I thought I'd throw in an older photo (from, maybe June/July and October/November?). We love the Sweeneys and enjoy their company immensely... they will be over in a few for a fabulous roast so I actually must be going but I thought it prudent to include the photo of my bestfrenchfriend for all to see as I speak of her often! Love to all,

~Me

New Years Resolutions

Yah, I'm not so much with the resolutions (sidebar... I once looked up resolution in the dictionary and it said "something that is resolved"... really? They couldn't have just took the extra time out of their day to give me the definition of "resolved"? People, seriously, I'm busy... I ain't got time to look up the definitions of the definitions that I'm lookin' for, Yo!) So anyway, my resolution is to resolve something this year. JUST KIDDING! Here is my list (in no particular order)

1. Quit smoking / get addicted to nicorette gum or the patch or something other than actual cigarettes.
2. Read more with my children (including the ones that aren't biological).
3. Learn French.
4. Use coupons and not be such a grocery snob.
5. Walk the dog twice a day (at least).
6. Help my husband to be a better spouse.
7. Help my children to be better off-spring.
8. Help my family to learn how to properly clean our house
9. Drink less beer but more wine (I'm all about the balance)
10. Return pointless voicemails particularly when the caller says something like "just called to say hi, no big deal, I'll call you later"...

May the Ancient Altars be always in your heart. May you be filled with the ancient wisdom of the Goddess. May your days be glorious and many... Peace and Joy to you all!

Merry Yule!!!!

Seasons Greetings to all our friends and loved ones!! I do realize that most celebrations are at least a week past but we've been ever so busy and I've been unable to even jump on the 'ole email (note to all: I had somewhere in the arena of 700 emails and so I deleted most at a very fast pace and so if I've not responded to something that you deem response-worthy, please do resend, k?).

The family Holiday photo was a real doozy considering there was only one in which our loverly middle child was not crying in (if you look real close you will note the swollen, puffy eyes) - apparently she had some sort of issue with the seating arrangement and then it was the clothing choices and after that she was confused by all the flashes and then it just turned into bribery and the occasional threat - you know, same old - same old.

Oh, we haven't receive the New Year photo's from the Sweeneys yet but hopefully at least some of those will be fit for posting and I'll get to it when I get to it (sometime in 2009 I'm guessing).

Love to all...
~The Cat
